FISHING CLUB INFORMATION
o The Arlington Anglers
meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7p.m.. The monthly
meetings are held at Dick's Sporting Goods (no longer Galyan's) at
Martingale & Higgins, just off of Rt. 53, south of Woodfield Mall,
Schaumburg. We have a guest speaker at most of our meetings. Door fees are
$2 for members and $4 for guests. We hold a 50/50 Raffle and have door
prizes also. The entire family is welcome. We have a full event calendar for
2007 with fishing trips planned both locally and to Canada. For further

o Anglers Unlimited of Lake County, Ill. meets the
first Wednesday of every month at the American Legion Hall, 111 E. Main St.,
Round Lake, IL, at 7:30 p.m. We are a bass fishing club that promotes
fishing and fun. We have raffles at the meetings and discuss upcoming club
events. We fish 12 draw tournaments from April through October in northern
Illinois, and southern Wisconsin. We welcome all welcome all boaters

o Blackhawk Bassmasters: We are an Illinois and
National BASS Federation Nation club looking for new members; both boaters
and non-boaters. We are a member run club with all decisions made as a

o The DesPlaines Lunkerbusters Fishing Club meets the second Tuesday
of each month (except July) at the Prairie Lakes Community Center, 515
Thacker St., Des Plaines, Ill. Meetings are at 7:00 p.m. Guests are always
welcome to attend for $4 per meeting. Meetings include an expert speaker on
local fishing topics, fishing reports, door prizes and raffle. The club

o The DuPage Angling Society is “the little social
club with some big fishing trips” Our get-togethers are in Downers Grove

o The DuPage Rivers Fly Tyers (DRiFT) meets almost
every Tuesday night, September through May, at 7 p.m. at the College of
DuPage in Glen Ellyn. Guests are always welcome. Our program includes a
speaker on a fly fishing related topic or a fly tyer demonstrating a fly,
and a discussion of upcoming club events such as fly casting lessons,
fishing trips (8 in 2000), women's programs, conservation activities and

o Fox River Valley Hunting Retriever Club (FRVHRC),
located in the N.W. Chicagoland area. FRVHRC is a family oriented
organization founded by hunting enthusiasts. We are dedicated to helping
each member improve their hunting experience by having a trained retriever.
We also have members who are simply breed fanciers dedicated to retaining
the sporting purposes of their dogs or simply want better trained pets.
Meetings are the 2nd Wednesday of the month and regular training sessions

o The Fox Valley Area Anglers meet at the Geneva,
Ill., Gander Mountain store. We are a multi-species club and have eight

o Hawthorne Fishing Club presents its 2005
fishing trip to Moosehorn Lodge Sioux Loukout Ontario Canada. Enjoy
motorcoach comfort, round trip from Cary, Ill., to Sioux Lookout,
Ontario, Canada. We will leave the Chicago area (Cary) on Saturday, July 23
and return on Sunday, July 31, 2005. This year's trip will include round
trip air conditioned coach, six nights lodging with all in-camp meals, five
days of guided fishing (two fishermen and a guide per boat), all bait and

o Illinois Bass Anglers: located in
Plainfield Illinois is a B.A.S.S affiliated fishing club. Our Annual
scheduled of events include club fishing tournaments which provide friendly
competition among members, community activities concentrating on
environmental improvements, sponsorship of Kids Fishing Day competition, and
involvement with the Make-A-Wish foundation. As part of the B.A.S.S.
Illinois Federation Nation of clubs, we also send a 6-man team to compete in
the federation tournament trial, giving those members the opportunity to go

o The Illiana Walleye Club meets at the VFW in

o The Lake Geneva Fishing Club. Beginning on
March 12th 2008 we will be meeting at Cabela's Hoffman Estates, Ill., Retail
Store, located at Prairie Stone Business Park in the northwest metro area of
Chicago near I-90 and Route 59. Our meetings will start at 7pm. All are
welcome, there is a $5 guest fee that will be deducted from your dues if you

monthly meetings. The cost for an annual membership is $40; there is also a

Tournament entry fees are nominal and set by the chairman, we fish for fun

o The Lake Shelbyville Muskie Club meets on
the first Tuesday of each month on the lower level of the Eagle Creek Resort
beginning at 7 p.m. At the December 2 meeting we will have a “2008 in
Review,” Holiday meeting. It will be an informative meeting. The meeting
will be on level one of Eagle Creek Resort. Everyone is welcome. You need
not be a LSMC member to attend.The program will followed a brief LSMC
business meeting. Come gain valuable insights into the elusive muskie.
o The Liberty Fishing Club meets at 7:30 p.m. on the
third Tuesday of the month at the Libertyville Township Center, 359 Merrill
Ct., Libertyville, Ill. Guests are always welcome at no charge. Our dues are
$50 annual, and we have a Junior Angler division for the kids. We fish all
species and this year have 16 scheduled outings. A few of our destinations
for 2005 include the Dells (Wisconsin River), DePere (Fox River), Geneva,
Delavan, Bay de Noc, Shelbyville, and Washington Island. Competition
revolves around earning points for fish caught of a minimum prescribed size

o Little Wabash Valley Bassmaster-Effingham
Area Federated Club looking for new members-boaters and non-boaters are
welcome. They hold a yearly Open Tournament and weekly Thursday night
tournaments for both members and non-members on Lake Sara, Effingham, Ill.
They meet once a month to discuss club tournaments, area fish conservation,
and youth programs. This club is for anyone interested in fishing for bass

o Maple Bass Masters of the Chicagoland Area.
We are an Illinois/National bass Federation club That has been around since
1971. We focus on fun competitive fishing outings along with a learning

for topics from muskie fishing to panfishing, tackle education, and local

o The Naperville Rod & Reel Club, a
multi-species fishing club which concentrates on local fishing for day trips

o Northern Illinois Crankin' Bass is an
Illinois and National B.A.S.S. Federation Nation fishing club that promotes

o The Northrop Grumman Fishing Club meets the second

o The Villa Park Fishing Club meets on the first

o Walleyes Unlimited USA is recognized as one
of the top multi-species fishing clubs in the country. We fish for
pike, muskie, large and smallmouth bass, and of course walleye. We

Fly-tying - Tie Along Sessions at the Bass Pro
Shops in Bolingbrook, Ill. Are you interested in fly-tying but don't know
where to get started? Are you afraid it's too complicated, too costly, or
you don't have what it takes? Even if you're experienced at fly-tying, you
may come away with some different or new perspectives on this fascinating
part of flyfishing. The sessions will be presented by Mike Miller and James
Velguth, both Bass Pro Shop Associates and Federation of Fly Fishers
Certified Casting Instructors. Bring your own equipment or purchase what you
need at the White River Fly Shop. We provide the materials. When: Every

Hunter Safety Classes - 2009. The Bass Pro Shops in
Gurnee, Ill., will be hosting Illinois Department of Natural Resources
Hunter Safety Education Classes. Although, all of the classes for the year

EDUCATION

Basic Functions of GPS at the Bass Pro Shop in
Clarksville, Ind., starting at 6:30pm. The expert marine staff will train
you to use your GPS. This class will cover the basic functions of all GPS
units. If you don't own a GPS this is a great way to figure out if it's for
you. Learn to use the hand held models, car models, and watercraft models.
This class will take place in the Bass Pro Shops Movie Theater! Register to
win a free GPS Unit while in the class! Only those who attend the class will
have the opportunity to register. At the end of the year we will draw for
the winner!!!

Coast Guard Safe Boating Class-Join the U.S.
Coast Guard for a free seminar the third Wednesday of every month from
7pm-8pm! The Coast Guard will cover Safe Boating Regulations, PFD's, Vessel
Safety Checks, and Distress Signals. To register for this class call Scott

are free and open to the public. This class is a great class for all ages
and a terrific for those that will be boating with your children. The class
will take place in the Bass Pro Shops Movie Theater in Clarksville, Ind. The

Service at the Indiana Dunes BioBlitz-a 24-hour event, noon to noon, when
teams of scientists, naturalists, community leaders, students and the public
will join forces to discover and inventory every living plant and creature

count will be the Celebrate Biodiversity festival, on May 16, from 1 p.m. to
4 p.m., with music, talks, displays and opportunities to explore more of the

we will touch on fish biology, stewardship, aquatic ecology and outdoor
ethics. Participants will also have a chance to learn and practice basic
fishing skills at beautiful Fort Harrison State Park in Indianapolis. Upon
completion of the workshop, participants will receive the Project WILD

Hunter's Education Course at the Bass Pros Shop in
Council Bluffs, Iowa. The class will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 23rd,
and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the 24th in the Green Room. The course is
limited to 50 students. Students need to bring a writing utensil, a
highlighter, and any snacks that they may want. They will get two breaks a
day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. They will also go to lunch

GPS: Navigating Your Way through New Technology
Seminar at the Bass Pro Shop in Cincinnati. Come check out the GPS course
offered the first Monday of each month. It covers the basics to get your GPS
unit out of the box and running, and then take it a step further and explain
how to better use it to find fish, not get lost and navigate both the water
and the field, as you take you outdoor experience to the next level. Class
time: 7 p.m. in the conference room. *In the event of a holiday, the class
will be moved to the following Monday night.

exciting topic in the world of fishing. Each class is taught by either one
of their expert fishing department associates or a special guest instructor
